This summer I will once again be participating in the Walk to End ALS, as the Downtown Toronto Walk Coordinator!
I've been working in ALS care and researchj for the past decade, and I'm walking in memory of those patients we've lost, and to support those currently living with ALS.
Your support will help to:
create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based support throughout Ontario.
AND further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum. My personal research is in the area of genetics and advocating for improved access to genetic testing. We are at the point of personalized medicine options for those patients with the genetic forms of ALS, and the more we understand about genetics in ALS, the more we will understand how to treat the disease spectrum as a whole.
Join me in making a difference. Please consider donating to my fundraising page as we work towards a future without ALS.
Your support is needed now more than ever - we are stronger together!
